christmas traditions…vol 1
first things first.
i finally decided on my christmas tree skirt. i decided to do less circles, just around the edges. i can always add more later if i change my mind again. but it only took about an hour to decide the order of them all and sew them all on. [i'm not a speed demon on my sewing machine.]
i really liked the way it turned out. paisley really likes it too. she’s obsessed with circles and naming colors, so she’s always telling me about it. she even took some extra felt circles and lined them up behind the row that’s sewn on. it was super adorable.
anyway, steven and i have decided on a few christmas traditions that we want to start doing with paisley. the first that we’ve decided on doing, is giving everyone a new christmas ornament every year on the day after thanksgiving. this year, it was a couple days late, but it’s alright. our new ornaments were totally worth it. 
my mom got this ornament for me in disneyworld. she’s always given each of us a new ornament. [i have all of mine in a box.] i love going through all of them each year. [we have all of the non-breakable ones on paisley's tree.]
this is my new ornament for our family tradition this year. it’s from skunkboy creatures. i’m sooo excited about it! i love little fawns and someday i seriously want to own a pet deer.
and this is steven’s new ornament. [also from skunkboy creatures.] he chose it because he thought it was the cutest. 
we got paisley’s ornament right after we got back from disneyworld. she’s really obsessed with winnie the pooh and especially the newest character “lumpy” the heffalump. we looked all over in disneyworld, but the only pooh ornaments we could find were glass. so when we found this at the disney store, we bought it right away.
you would not believe what we went through to get a picture of it. [paisley was napping when steven and i were taking pictures of ours. and i really should have taken a picture of paisley's before we got her up.] anyway, once we gave it to her, we were trying to get her to hold it like steven and i had for our pictures. well, whenever we would take it from her to show her how to hold it, she would burst into tears. so we gave it back, with the promise of taking pictures later, then we gave her hugs [which she's obsessed with right now, and it makes the ornament even better.] she carried around all night, and kept hugging it. it was so cute.
unfortunately, she tripped by the stairs, and it flew down and lumpy’s ear broke off. so hopefully we can find it or get an extra ornament on sale after christmas.
